Annual Prevocational Medical Education Forum
CPMEC is responsible for facilitating the Annual Prevocational Medical Education Forum. This annual event brings together clinicians and educators to facilitate sharing of research, educational activities and discussion of important current issues in prevocational medical education. A core component of this forum is the involvement of junior doctors in the program and the facilitation of special interest group meetings including MEOs, DCTs, JMOs and administrators.

25TH Australian & New Zealand Prevocational Medical Education Forum – 18-19 October 2021

This Forum will be held virtually over two days:
Day one: Monday 18 October, 12.30pm (NZDT) to 5.00pm (NZDT) - 10.30am – 3.00pm AEDT
Day two: Tuesday 19 October, 1.00pm (NZDT) to 5.00pm (NZDT) – 11.00am – 3.00pm AEDT
The main theme of the Forum is: ‘Travelling forward together – He waka eke noa’ with three complimentary themes of: Transitions and innovations, Health equity and cultural safety, Professionalism and intern wellbeing.
Call for Abstracts
There is a call for abstracts of 300 words which must be submitted electronically – closing date is 30 June. Abstracts may cover any topic related to the training of interns, medical education and patient care, however preference will be given to abstracts that relate to the three themes above.
